Looking for a peaceful place to play and explore with your pup on your own? Travelling to our area from out of town? Want to get a few of your friends, and your dog’s pals together in a private setting without running into others? Do you own dog business and need a safe place to walk or train your dog clients?
SafeK9’s forested private park & trail is located on over 40 fenced acres of land nestled between the two beautiful Georgian Bayside towns of Midland and Penetanguishene.
Here your dog will get all the intriguing sniffs they desire! Regularly hiked by our SafeK9 daycare clientele, our private dog park & trail will keep your dog’s nose and mind busy. After all, mental stimulation is just as important as exercise for a happy and healthy dog!
Hot day? Dog need a dip? They can splish, splash and meet the frogs in one of the 2 ponds located trailside.
here are some rules to follow during your visit
- Please drive slowly past the house on your drive into our SafeK9 Private Dog Park & Trail - Sniffspot.
- Please don’t allow your dog(s) to run towards the back area of the house from the parking lot. Dog daycare program is in session.
- Please close the big sliding gate when arriving and leaving to keep dogs within the 4 foot perimeter cattle mesh fencing.
- NO SMOKING of any kind is permitted ON THE PROPERTY.
- Please “stick’n flick” your dog’s poop off the main trails.
- Please wait for your scheduled time and for the guest ahead of you to leave before exiting your vehicle.
- Please be respectful of the time, and leave promptly for the next guest. (The entire trail loop takes 45-60 mins depending on your walking pace).
- Please be respectful and take any personal trash/garbage/recycling with you when you leave.
- Don’t forget a towel!

We provide off-leash enrichment - exploration and activities you can't get anywhere else; wear your dog out for days. We provide safe playdates. Socialize your pup in a controlled, private spot - it's great exercise, it's safe and it's fun for you and your dog.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We require rabies vaccination, the equivalent of current rabies tags. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow park rules and policies before visiting park sites. Adult supervision is required at all times. We do not have limits for dogs per owner or dogs per adult handler. Some hosts set person per visit limits. Dog owners are responsible for picking up pet waste (many dog parks provide pet waste stations).
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot dog park at the same time as me?
No. We only allow one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. So when you book a Sniffspot dog park you have the entire off-leash area to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings so you will not run into other guest dogs when coming or leaving.
